The small city of Krabi sits at the mouth of the Krabi River on the west coast of Thailand. The city is the capital of the province of the same name, which covers the mainland facing the resort island of Phuket. Few people visit the city itself, except in transit from the airport or beaches to the islands of Phi Phi and Lanta.
